MEMBERSHIP              The Schiavo Library is a private, not-for-profit organization with a mission to provide members with a variety of materials and services designed to meet their needs for edification, enrichment, and enjoyment. (Mission Statement, adopted 2008)   Membership in the Library is a privilege extended to residents, visitors, and neighbors of Strathmere, NJ ages 13 and up.  Members agree to support the Policies and Procedures of the Schiavo Library as adopted by the Board of Trustees and to be responsible for the care of all facilities and all materials.         Library privileges may be revoked for failure to adhere to these standards.             The annual Membership Enrollment / Renewal period will begin in the spring with the Library Membership year being June 1 through May 31 of the following year.  The Library is a private organization and receives no tax dollars or government support and therefore charges a nominal fee to help support its facilities and services.   Membership fees are as follows:                           Individual Annual                                        $ 30.00                            (18 and older)                           Family Annual                                             $ 50.00                         (up to 4 people/additional persons $10.00 each)                           Visitor Weekly*                                           $ 20.00                          (*these cards expire after one week)                           SCHIAVO LIBRARY SUPPORTER         $250.00                            Includes Family Membership &                                     1 Limited Edition Schiavo Library Mug                           SCHIAVO LIBRARY PATRON               $500.00                                  Includes Family Membership                                     1 Limited Edition Schiavo Library Mug &                                     2 Invitations to the Annual Member’s Reception               Donations in any amount are always welcome and appreciated.          Send mail to info@strathmerelibrary.org with questions or comments about this web site.
